But your theory could also explain why the goddess witch scottish elf girl also ended up there, maybe earth did end but since she was immortal she roamed the earth craving for the food of the old world until the new species elves created their civilization.

Tolkien's first name is John and he did popularize fantasy races in modern literature. Lefay probably came from an alternate Earth that's different from Saburou's since she's a fairy and yet, has experience in Japanese cuisine. And it's sad how the last Earthling before the two of them wasn't able to find a way back either, leaving behind a lighter as a memento.

No, Lefay is from Earth. Possibly Morgan le Fay. She specifically refers to Britain as Albion, after all. Anyway, she’s saying that, back on earth, the ones with pointy ears were fairies like her, not elves. Elves being associated with pointy ears was a more “modern” association and that the reason why the elves in this world are called elves is because an earthling named them as such.

The descendants of one of those humans are the elves born with shorter, more rounded ears like the grand elder.
