MDList improvement: (custom) series showcase tab

Hey,

Well, the MDList is nice and all, but does not really reflect what series we enjoyed the most and would love others to read as well, in my opinion.

What about making a "Showcase" or "Favourite" tab in the MDList where users would put a given number of favourites, eventually ranked, for others to discover.

Because right now, I don't think the MDList makes sense as we already have the 'Follows' section, if you have 2700 manga of which 1900 are 'planned to read' and the MDList shows them in alphabetical order, it's just a bit underwhelming so to say. Just like that T_T

Maybe it would also entice people to use this function more often? At the very least, I would use it to more easily access my favourite series (instead of having half a million bookmarks or going through the search, I'm kinda lazy sometimes).

Might be doable with this suggestion, which is planned: #16278: custom folders/lists

For example, with a custom "Top picks" or "Favourites" list.

Two ways this can be implemented.

1. Have custom lists - which means they will appear on your "favourites" list and no longer appear on the "reading" list.

2. Have custom tagging - they would appear on the "reading" list but also on a separate "favourites" tab.

Would having a different 'favourites' list mean that they wouldn't show up in the 'follow_updates' section, as, if I'm not mistaken, only the 'reading' currently do? I don't know... there might be many conflicts between the lists, right? Custom tagging might be way more convenient, wouldn't it?

In case you're not aware, even though "Reading" is the default, you can actually choose which type of follows you're listing:
