Shrewd and mean are on point. Inori has never really been that Lawful Good hero archetype since the very start of this story. He's far more adjacent to a True Neutral free spirit who'll do good or evil, and break the law or obey it depending on the situation. On a side note, never call Aliyah boring again, at least not with that kind of nice figure.
It's amusing how he made the other guy look like a dog sent to fetch a bone in the opposite direction. Indeed, the stakes of the "duel" were inconsequential to the kingdom and he has zero interest in winning the "prize" of "being called a man worthy of the goddess" (Who will even grant that? Certainly not the goddess herself who was not involved in this).
