When reading a fantasy series, a certain amount of "suspension of disbelief" is always required.

However, making the chameleon a carnivore is just stepping a bit far.

Chameleons are carnivores though. Eating insects still puts them in the carnivore category.

Never heard of them Eating pork, but like you said, it's best to not think to hard about things like that.

Part of my brain acknowledged the likelihood of insects being brought up was high, and I should have phrased to "eating meat" or similar to convey it better. But at the same time, they could have just had him eat the fruit and it wouldn't have caused my story mind to suffer a short.

How come the old party is completely useless without MC, if he was completely useless, do they completely fall apart from carrying a bag? Or they simply can't perform without using a distraction (so, every fight is just them yeeting MC at the enemy and somehow if always works) :questionblob:

Know it's just the usual banishment trope, but this getting dumb and so forced...

Didn't he say he was leaving that party? What's the insult here, that he followed through with what he said he was going to do, and was actively doing by not meeting up with them any more? :questionblob:

Also, why are they suddenly so weak? Because they really were, to some extent, doing the MC a favour by having him tag along when he couldn't do anything beyond carrying some luggage - if even that, given his weakness from the curse. So why are they suddenly unable to complete quests, when the MC's absence shouldn't effect them in the slightest? This is just plot conveniences and following tropes despite it making no sense.
