Realistically... That fits the tone for this manga (acceptance, growth, being more than ones past), even if it is a bit disappointing. Zero response from f$ckboy at this point to the name-drop, though Koga mentioning it could be some not-so-subtle foreshadowing. Hopefully it's a LITTLE bit of a dramatic sendoff, maybe a nice "I forgive you for being the garbage you are, if you weren't I might not have found him, you're going to die alone and unloved, lamenting all the squandered opportunities as the repellent light in your eyes fades, I'll still have Koga, while you will have nothing and noone.". But I'm probably hoping for too much.

I still don't really think he did anything wrong.
His attitude is literally the normal way relationships function, and not just the normal way, but they way people say they're supposed to function. Plenty of fish in th sea and all that. He's just actually honest about it instead of putting up a shitty facade or lying.

I do wonder what kind of drama could really come from him though... Unless he does something crazy like try to go after Meguro and refuse to take no for an answer or something, which would be really weird.
Meguro shouldn't have any problem with him, as she already gave her thoughts on the whole situation back in 30.5.
To be honest I didn't think he was gonna show up because that chapter felt like a conclusion for his role in the manga as part of Meguro's backstory. I mean she said everything that had to be said about it and (rightfully so) harbored no ill will towards him.

It's possible that he's merely a part of the story to explore his philosophy as just another character in the manga's character of the week format I guess.

(not justifying his manipulation he obv deserves jail time for having sexual relations with a minor), it was her who initiated it. Yes he should've been responsible for stopping it, but as we can see with his personality here, he's not very "caring", and he knows it, he understands emotions but lacks the capability of treasuring it. Therefore when she shown romantic interest towards him, and said she wanted to get to know about this emotion more, he misunderstood and thought "She wants to know about sex" (chapter 8). They're both equally naive. This guy doesn't know what he's doing.
The author cooks btw, from what I've read so far. There's going to be some hard shit coming next couple chapters, I know it. I agree what with what you said about him being let off. I predict the MC is going to get emotional and angry at him. But remember without him there also wouldn't be "Meguro" and he already accepts this in an earlier chapter. But we can see he gets impulsively emotional when he sees Meguro with his handsome guy friend even though he knows it's not what it seems. I think this will end pretty good. All drama ends up being solved pretty fast in this manga, like the sister drama or the FMC's friend breakup thing which ended up positively again. Especially the misunderstanding thing with the guy friend and FMC, ended in 1 chapter lmfao. 95% of this manga is fluff, so I don't expect any huge drama.
Just seen the raws pictures don't have a flustered MC so it's most likely they completely skipped this.

He did things wrong, like having sex with a minor. But I can say that he most likely is naive. He dropped FMC in a hat, without thinking about her emotions at all. Chapter 8 shows FMC wanting him to teach her about her "emotion". Then we see chapter 24.5. He most definitely done wrong bro lmfao. He's innocent in a way for sure but he had sex with a 15 year old while being 18+ (MANY TIMES) so not really the idea.
