Honestly, i don't mind Meguro having solve some of her past problem, but defintely not this way, this is definitely not a good way to resolve the "issue" which isn't even fully resolved because one of the glaring issue, which everyone said, the sensei

This isn't a good way to make a "feel good" manga where everyone got a redemption when they don't get what's coming for them first, a lot of good manga like these are good to read exactly because the characters got what's coming for them first even if it ended up in a bittersweet resolution, this manga is just ain't it

I genuinely like this manga before it got into this arc and now it's just painful to read instead

"Thank you Sensei. You groomed me into becoming an emotionless sex slave that says yes to any man's advances and now I can't even feel any emotion towards having sex with a man I actually love. I'm glad this is how my life went and wouldn't change it for anything."

Thanks for the inspiring message author.

Meguro really is a robot doing what she is told until the very end. She "broke up" with the dude because someone told her so and now wants to talk to him again becuase someone told her so.

This is the worst relationship i've read in a manga for a very long time. Not even counting the gaslighting concerning the predator.

Author truely doesn't see anything wrong with any of this. She is truely unhinged.
Meguro is so dumb that dating her just feels wrong. She's legitimately dumb enough to make me question her ability to consent to anybody, including her peers.

Yes, i think her case is pretty severe and needs to spend some time in an institution before being allowed to make any decisions concerning life. As things are now, she has no agency of her own.

"Wow this discarded onaho sure talks a lot."

Author really wrote herself into a corner with this plot point and thought she could end it with no repercussions all wrapped up in a little bow.
reminder that theyve been dating for years and mc hasnt gotten anything other than hand holding and maybe two kisses
To be fair that's entirely on him. Magu- I mean Meguro was more than willing to do it with any- I mean him.

This is the most blatant example of the forced positivity I've seen in manga ever since Tokyo Revengers ending. Literally everybody becomes chill with each other and holds hands in peace, completely forgetting all the harm done along the way. It's throwing Meguro's well being under the bus and telling viewers "Sure, she might still be utterly fucked up, but at least she doesn't care about it, so it's all fine. Happy end.

It's the opposite but equally bad version of the forced tragedy/forced edge.

"Thank you Sensei. You groomed me into becoming an emotionless sex slave that says yes to any man's advances and now I can't even feel any emotion towards having sex with a man I actually love. I'm glad this is how my life went and wouldn't change it for anything."

It's legitimately more fucked up than some of the supposedly dark series, because it pretends that everything is fine and dandy because the girl fucked (literally and figuratively) into being an emotionless wreck sees no issue with it.

SIGHHHHHH, This series is just a big no no.... I specially hate how they handle the sensei part

That bitch abused of his position and instilled a toxic mentality in Meguro, then not only does he get away with it with ZERO consequences, SHE FUCKING THANKS HIM!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!
prolly author had a really toxic partner in the past and still hasn't realized how toxic it was.
because I really can't understand why is the tutor not put on a stake already, only sis and asexual friend now how much of a pos he is, also the pos teacher because she was also like that (I think she told him that)

Reminds me of that shitty manga where the MC reincarnates as the NTR villain of the story and the main girl thanks him for fucking her mom.

at least that manga knows its dumb, the main girl is a masochist and dumb as bricks, made by the "manga" that it was based inside of the story.

daaamn dude, that's dark and highly likely what that pos would think.

daaamn, I can't believe an author actually succeed in conceive something like this without being a dark joke or a doujinshi.

Hey, at least that one had enough common sense to recognise how fucked up the girl was. Plus, she thanked him for being her mom's ex, not for fucking.

Yikes.

This manga was full of wholesome gems but the author is clearly retarded and problematic.

It seems Japanese morals around sexual assault are behind by decades and there's important wake-up calls and discussions that are yet to be had, for a mainstream author and editor team to paint this in a positive light.

It makes me think of Uncanny X-Men Annual #17 (1993), when Mastermind used his mind powers to deceive and assault Jean Grey, leading her to turn into the Dark Phoenix. And they have him weep on his death bed that he only ever 'loved' her and beg her to forgive him, while Jean not only does but risk contrating a plague to comfort her rapist.

It's just gross all around. There is a time for redemption and forgiveness, but there's nothing cathartic if you simply have the abuser be completely unapologetic and the victim shrugging it off.

Zaizen is a pathetic groomer and fuckboi. There was an highway to have Meguro affirm herself and her growth while showing off her (then) healthy relationship with Koga. To state the harm he did to her, her self-worth but that she since healed and he's a disgusting footnote.

Bonus point if Koga had tutored her and showed them both how it's done.

But alas. Alas we got this.

Most readers in comments treat past Meguro (and all 14yo girls in general) like a valuable vase they own which you shouldn't touch, it should stay on the shelf and gather dust, and if you touch it then you are a bad kid, you could drop and break it. They all forget to see her as a living being, which obviously had feelings, immature, childish, yes, but it was a huge experience in her life.
That's why I like seeing this fire burn from her thanking her "sensei".
Now throw some shit at me
