@KuroYuugo If she's lucky she worded it so that she still has 2 more wishes. Maybe she can wish for being smart enough to judge the stock market with 100% accuracy and 100% legality so she can be a day trader. At least then the only thing she'll have to worry about is taxes.

Is this joke suppose to be how when someone commits fraud, they always get caught spending the money to buy a lamborgine?

Though this reminds me of thos mangas where monsters drop real paper cash and I cant help but shake my head how long it woukd take for them to get caught with counterfit money since the money has a serial number

You can still pay with money bills on huge purchases? Some places at least in Europe there is a restriction on paying with cash(money bill) on large or huge purchases.

wishing for direct money from a genie is a terrible idea as it will cause inflation not to mention money is highly monitored and unexplained wealth would trigger an anti money laundering investigation.

You have better chance in asking for a winning lottery ticket or wish for intelligence or some things that make earning money easy like predicting stock markets trends 100 percent accurate.

@Hitspark: There was no mention about having 3 wishes. So the genie probably only grants 1 wish.

Instead of money she should have wished for so much luck that she never fails whatever she does except she wanna fail on purpose.
Then she could have gotten all the money by playing lottery and winning like 1 in 100 times and failing 99 of 100 times to not make it too obvious that she wins no matter what.

Also she could have done whatever else she wants as shewould have so much luck that she cannot fail no matter what.

@AncientWatcher it may just be enough once you crash the market though. The moment you inject 500 trillion dollars into the economy, it will be heavily inflated, try imagining buying bread for over a $100+.

I have to search for the price of something I would never want just to confirm that you don't need even a billion to buy 100 lamborghinis. So yes 500 trillions would completely shatter the economy. Maybe it isn't trillions in any main currency.
