I thought this was a futuristic isekai story, and the captain is using a DSLR camera to take pictures? I thought everything is done by personal terminals?

I got a neighbor that still use Betamax tapes and has a variety of other old audio types rather than using modern stuff because of how much of a nerd he is with his hobby. This captain seems quite similar to him for me. Nerds are built differently.

there are some twists/revelations once they go for a trip abroad (so to speak) showing that nobody but who/whatever brought Hiro to this dimension can make anything remotely like it. people from other worlds get special goodies that are more like physical manifestations of their soul than simple machines, & in the WN comments there was some speculation/debate as to whether the author would extend it to ALL of the toys Hiro spawned in with (ship, laser pistol, bulky-ass mech suit he immediately replaced) or just the ship, but... well, the gun was immediately ID'd as rare but existing in-world tech & he already replaced the mech suit with something better so it'd be weird to turn around and go "oh yeah btw that's a whole-ass transforming star-killing death machine just like the ship, your stupid tryhard ninja armor is trash lol"

especially since they almost immediately made the ninja armor pointless as well in the process, since the whole arc is around how psionics work and ofc the MC has to be capable of using every Star Wars jedi/sith power effortlessly for this to count as a proper isekai series lmao

A little bit too gung-ho about that ambush. Waiting for someone to warp out generally feels like you should wait to confirm the identity before attacking, especially as a military operation.

Could understand the captain's/count's fascination with rare ships. Surprised there aren't more people like him considering Serena's fleet job description. Though gotta admit, he is really enthusiastic about it.

The state of the 3rd and 4th scouting fleet reminds me how Admiral Spoor's fleet tend to end up in Sekai no Senki. Armed reconnaissance in enemy territory is a dangerous job. Only thing you can do when probes don't come back and there isn't a galactic equivalent of an orbital reconnaissance satellite.

I mean if we ever get to that technological level, it's likely that ships will be the equivalent to cars and people's love of cars is well known, so it's really just a extension of that.

I take it it still means that the Kirshna will still have a ship based off the current state in the Manga.

It won't be like how Hiro's ship will be by the time the Empire has their own, but the Imperial Experimental vessel could easily be used to help adapt and evolve other ships in the Empire, especially since the Captain mentions that "Frame deforms and the shotgun extends", implying that even in the current state, the Kirshna is a Treasure Trove of Revolutionary designs that could be used to better other ships...

...And if it evolves with Hiro, it means that the ship will keep changing and altering to benefit Hiro.
