The next major story arc is buying a mothership and adding the dwarves in harem. After that it's the war against Crystal Lifeforms, defeating the mother. Then volume 6 ends with him heading to awards ceremony in capital. Mimi's stuff hasn't been covered yet, we just know she's searching for her grandmother who might be a noble. I don't recall him having to do merc promotion exam.

Wooow, really? I didn't think they would change a whole lot in the LN from the WN. Iirc, the whole Mimi debacle occurs when she gets recognized by royalty/nobility after they deliver Chris. Also at some point after the promotion thing they acquire a big ol ship (I forget the ship class) as well as some cute lil dwarf engineers. I should really reread the WN because I love the setting of this.

Dodging, or shooting down missiles is easy if the ship setup is fast enough.
Projectile ammo to some extent since like missiles they also have a certain flight speed.
