i did not comprehend a single thing when they're using mahjong lingos lmao

i can only see this as the grampa dying and so the heir war will be more fierce lmao

i don't think that's how to break the shield in one go works. it's much more reasonable to have like a massive drill that will shave away at shield's energy than a spitzer bullet looking ship that can nullify a shield just by having contact. but hey it's sci-fi so i can easily shrug it off because i'm a sucker for sci-fi lmao

i hope this urges mc to keep up with the new types of ships. like, he said that the gateway was different from what he knows in the game but he still didn't research about relevant infos like newer types of battleships unlike how he went basically insane when searching for coca cola lmao

I'm somewhat being reminded of Colony Wars 3: Red Sun

Except in that game one of the flag ship was pointy and pierced through another flagship, destroying it completely though

Instead of this one seems like a specialized boarding ship that pierced through and "clamp" itself in place in pg.18 there

So a scifi space opera equivalent of a fire ship. I guess shields were enough to slow it down on last moment so it wouldn't get clean through the target ship but got stuck instead. Now if it has a boarding party or explosives on board...
I think it was a boarding ship. If you look at the image again you'll see it has idk what you'd call it exactly but a pincer from the other end to prevent it from coming out of the ship. You'know like how you catch a fish wit ha fish hook. Well I could've just called it a hook... They probably boarded it since they thought it'd be easier to kill them in their own ship rather than attack a whole fleet.

This makes no sense, such a forced encounter. Why wouldn't the targeted ship just fly out of the way? And how are those few ships that are massively spread out around the fleet keeping the fleet in place, if they decided to go left or go forward real fast, what would those few ships do? They are so spread out they would have to face the entire fleet 1 at a time. And apparently this ship has indestcructable shields? Maybe they should use those shields on combat ships, just a thought.

Thought it was gonna be a kinetic energy weapon, just launch something heavy really fast and let the impact do the damage but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

From previous comments I'd agree that it's probably a boarding vessel or barrier breaker ship

All that ego stroking just to ignorantly sit there so the enemy can do whatever the hell they want... Please just let the android maid do everything for you from now on.

Instead of a needle shape, it should have been a drill. Though perhaps too cool to give it for baddies to use.

Shit, that was smart. Completely negate the power of their fleet by turning it into a boarding battle, they cant just attack the counts ship after all, and a ship that large cant just be evacuated quickly even if they were willing to do that and blow it up on the enemy, especially now that its full of hostiles.

Interesting idea for a ship. Not sure it would actually work though. At those relative sizes the Count's ship would more likely be pushed off course than penetrated.
It's based off historic real world naval combat, where some ships had rams installed, though they were for sinking not boarding.
Anyways, the ship is an insanely expensive high tech one specially designed for that one purpose. If it wasn't clear already, the nobles in this series are weirdos who reenact ancient traditions with scifi tech, light sabers duels being the main example (It's considered noble etiquette).
