Thanks for the update
I'm getting star wars vibe with those noble swords
Yeah, well me too.
The Novel does actually make that reference multiple times too, at least the tl version I read.

This is so interesting but guh it takes too long for each chapter to release. At least TL team are quite fast on their work.

can't wait to meet "dear" uncle...
will he be a mustache twirling villain, a sinister dark fallen noble or just an incompetent ugly fat bastard.
I have a weird suspicion that this "uncle" will actually be another isekai'd player of the game. The weird tactics, especially, make me think this person doesn't adhere to the normal rules and logic of this universe.

This manga is an amalgamation of space fiction tropes, few i really notice is from star wars and funnily enough stellaris (which of itself are also an amalgamation of space tropes).

Essentially things i notice similar with stellaris like they managed a somewhat peaceful settlement with sudden development of sentient AI that bestowed rights or risk an uprising, the crystal creature fleet from earlier chapters, hyperlane and jumpgates, etc.

IIRC, the author has said that he was heavily influenced by Stellaris, Elite: Dangerous, Eve, etc.

As someone with an unhealthy amount of time in Stellaris (over 3000 hours), it's pretty clear to see many of the influences, BUT it's worth nothing that he could go beyond the things that show up in Stellaris or the other games.

Drawing on the works of Heinlein, Banks, LeGuin, Robinson, Niven, Adams, Card, etc. There's a lot of material to reference. Even more if you do more modern stuff like Andy Weir, or James S.A. Corey (pseudonym for the pair writing the Expanse), or Liu Cixin of the Three Body Problem.

Stellaris references many of these to one degree or another, but in many cases barely scratches the surface of their works. As for the manga so far... well.. if they only reference the most well known stuff, it's gonna end up overlapping with stellaris anyways. There is however an opportunity to dig deeper. They could make up something novel, but I think it's pretty well established at this point that the story is intentionally derivative.

Anyone familiar with Warhammer 40k? There is concept in the lore of that series that an entity can be formed out of pure psychic/chaos/warp energy in real space. These entities are often called Daemons. Guess what MC really is?

He is pure psychic energy given solid form as a byproduct, or maybe intended product of a grand end-game experiment by a space holy empire. Not the Empire that he is friendly with right now. Some kind of religious centric empire that tried to use technology to do something with soul.

Not especially, but I was tempted to mention in my previous comment that the power armor MC uses in this is very reminiscent of WH40K.
PArmor that MC uses is piloted by him like a mini gundam iirc. There is controls in that suits that resembles two joystick from Virtual On arcade cabinet.
PArmor from 40k is more like actual suit of armor where the user wear the armor.

Superficially? Yeah, MC's PA and a choice selection of PA from WH40K does looks alike. But mechanically wise, a bit different.

God I love this series. It's got just the right amount of serious, fluffy, and silly to really tickle my fancy. Plus it's a sci-fi harem isekai rather than the oversaturated fantasy genre. And it's actually true sci-fi, not those sci-fantasy types with mechs in fantasy worlds.

Good stuff.

"The series is in its 2406th season"

12 episodes/season *2406 seasons = 28,872 episodes.

That'd be one hell of an archive binge...
And clearly popular as all fuck if it's got THAT many seasons.

With how advanced AI are, i bet theres enough data to make any series hard to ruin, imagine chatgpt can review your work is shit or not with 99.9999% accuracy, and even write it for you. TikTok algorithm turned up to 11000.

As the level 14 psycher (Death Watch) who one-shot a terminator by pushing his powers and rolling the summoning of a daemon prince on the relevant table, and thus got killed along with one other player... as well as a Rogue Trader psycher who was both ridiculously powerful and stable (never lost that one or even got close to losing control): yes, I am familiar.

And I'll have to say I don't agree. The inspirations and groundedness of the series isn't in the vein of thr 40k universe.

I would pay actual dollars if Elite Dangerous had this kind of feature. I mean, shit, even Starfield did boarding parties. Disable ship, go in, take it over. But then they would actually be forced to render ship interiors, and Elite ain't about that life.
While this kind of thing is technically possible in Star Citizen right now, it's unlikely due to the amount of people that would need to be organized.

Just letting you know it's a thing, but not trying to get your hopes up just yet.
