The latter is probably the biggest struggle for most of us irl, these days, cause it requires determining what is actually important to the girl we are into, and remembering to ask about it months later, to show we actually cared enough to remember something important. I ain't no saint when it comes to this, but god does it feel amazing when I'm on the receiving end, since it makes me feel noticed by the uncaring world!

Well, the Slave girls are already his property in a sense and they would belong to him for his whole life, aka., they are basically his concubines already (though as long as they agree to it).

As for why he can't marry yet, I think it's because of their Slave status which doesn't allow them to marry.

Marry one, some, or all of them from that party and there will be chaos. One or two mean you'll likely kill their party and there will be bad feelings there. Marry them all and there's no end to the drama in their own personal lives that will ensnare you. You don't want that MC. You want a relaxed life with luxury liners. I know I do.

Even without marrying or having a relationship with them, he already got ensnared in their personal life and ended up supporting a war effort.
You think he wouldn't do it in the future either, whether he is in relationship with them or not.

Aka., as long as MC is around them, he would help them with whatever problem they have, without demanding anything in return from them, which would turn him into a doormat-type.
Atleast marrying them would give a more justifiable reasoning for MC to help them.

You don't want to be that captain 10 years from now sloshed at the bar wishing he had never married them with 15 kids screaming at his feet and wives yelling at him consistently.

You don't need 6 wives & 15 kids to be in a similar situation.
Even 1 wife & 1 kid could cause the same issue, or even no child but with just a cat or dog.

Just check the current social situation, it's full of that, especially with divorce & alimony becoming a "quick way of getting rich" method for many women.

Whether a marriage turns good or bad, can't easily be predicted, but atleast in MC's case, we do know that he can financially handle it all, even if he marries not just those 6, but even more (especially considering he has the Gods backing for now). Plus I doubt those 6 would want to stop their work just because they get married or have kids.
