Volume 6 has not been released yet in Japan (scheduled for 25/03/27), so there isn't anything official. We can only speculate based off number of chapters in previous volumes.

you are doing right actually, the other group shouldnt add them unless it has been published and is known.

3.4.4 Only add volume numbers to chapters that have been published together in a volume. If the chapter has not been published in a volume yet, do not guess what volume it should be in, just leave the volume field blank.

the first group of Dark Elves he finds (in the forest of death) and he goes to rescue is a result of his own choice, though he isn't particularly keen, it is a part of his deal with Felicia. The goddess of the forest doesn't ask him until after they've had the first luxury liner for a while, when the goddess of gastronomy and god of entertainment also ask him to open up the liner and the god of commerce asks him to spend the ship summoning money on charity somehow
