rather than the crab itself, i want to try the giant crab EGG

BTW, in the novel Wataru actually don't want to rescue the other dark elves because it's too much of a hassle. and he only did it because of the request from the Goddess of the Forest(who have a ridonkculous booba) to rescue her followers.
Truly a man of values

Well, she didn't debut yet in the Manga, so i guess we would meet her in the upcoming chapters.

In the novel
the first group of Dark Elves he finds (in the forest of death) and he goes to rescue is a result of his own choice, though he isn't particularly keen, it is a part of his deal with Felicia. The goddess of the forest doesn't ask him until after they've had the first luxury liner for a while, when the goddess of gastronomy and god of entertainment also ask him to open up the liner and the god of commerce asks him to spend the ship summoning money on charity somehow
yea i guess i oversimplified.
but my point of MC not wanting to rescue still stands, as he never actually have any initiative.

Agreed that he has zero motivation, I thought you were pointing to a difference in the order of story events like the different timings of Felicia and Ines learning how to operate the ships. Dude'd still be hunting horn rabbits if the Creator God hadn't intervened.

Then again if I could find a job where I earned what he earned hunting rabbits, I'd probably do it too. Given the effective buying power he was probably earning the equivalent of $500-$800 per day cash in hand.

Less than nothing compared to buying a luxury liner but not an income to sneeze at.

i'd stop at the pepper trade. then maybe a luxury stuff trade if the nobles/rich people aren't annoying.

but then again, a cruise ship would be great in that level of civilization.

First mistake was promising Ines a full luxury liner, a ferry would have been what I showed her at the slave trader, same with Felicia, no promise to find more of her kin, end the promises at resettlement of her village. Next mistake was getting mixed up with Girasole, coming back from the southern continent I wouldn't have bothered with souvenirs for anyone, then there would be no going to the cathedral and no participating in war.

No further contact with the gods after the fist time at the western city, chilling out on a ferry or two for the remainder of my days, occasionally doing pepper trade and exploring the Dark Elf Island while safely leveling up at sea, aiming to reach a level of 400-500.

Also, the fact that he hasn't tried to learn offensive magic baffles me. Chilling on the deck of the ferry tossing attacks overboard while drinking beer and smoking a cigarette would be like half of my days.

Honestly, i can relate up to having a cruise ship. but why TF would he use that cruise ship to be a hotel and getting (even more) attention from the nobles is beyond me.

i'd just chilling on a cruise ship with my 8 girls, with an occasional adventuring. that would be more than enough.

He's getting swept up by the gods whims, which I find understandable TBH, that's why I'd dodge the gods as best as possible. Not sure I'd classify Girasole as "his girls" though.

from the recent novel chapter, especially when Kara get mad when Wataru use formal language, i think it's safe that they already consider him as the opposite sex.
only, they now have to wait for Wataru to "make a move" and that could take forever.

They are pushing in that direction to be sure, and becoming "his girls" is basically an eventuality at this point, but I'd still consider it too early to call them that, though that might be my bias from having read ahead in the WN.
