Honestly disappointed with some of the people in the comments here. The translation is good! Maybe there are some parts that could be phrased a bit better, but nothing here is incorrect or hard to read at all! Plus, @HttpsSick is more than willing to fix stuff when actually given constructive criticism.
Yeah, there's currently two groups, but I'm sure that will work itself out. In the meantime, people hating on this translation are just putting unnecessary pressure on both of them!
When I first started translating I was also doing everything on my own and yeah, looking back my first chapter was a bit of a mess too. Still, I never had people be this rude in the comments. So I'm kindly asking people to stop, cause it's just rude. There is nothing wrong with this translation at all, so really, there's no reason to act like this. Kinda expected better from this community :/
You don't even know Japanese, do you?

Thanks for the chapter!

Two things I'm curious about.

1. How has Mieruko not noticed these ghostly animals before? I mean, most of the creatures she's seen so far are humanoid, but there should've been more animals too right? Or maybe they stay in a certain zone or around people more, like the one dude with the cat spirits

2. I didn't really think about it last chapter, but does the mom still have the ability to see ghosts? Can she see the dad? Does she kind of know why her daughter is acting this way?

Also the art for the ghost animals is great. Looking forward to more.
1. I think it’s because more animals are concentrated in the zoo. Miko has seen ghostly animals like the cats and Francois before.

2. I don’t think mom has the ability to see ghosts. I think she can sense the dad’s prese since ghosts can have an affect on the material world.

I was today years old when I learned that there are indeed zoos that will let you feed the full-size hippopotamuses, typically for separate fees, and booked months in advance.

Seems kind of dangerous as-depicted, though. Real zoos seem to be more of a "throw it in from behind the barrier" experience.
Yeah, my reaction was the same. Never mind the ghosts, is it really alright to feed the hippos like that? Those are some mean bastards...

I suspect that the old man spirit changed his appearance into one of those black suits at the end.
Miko who managed to tell them apart will identify the spirit and shit will go down next chapter.

Hi! I'm not a scan, just one person doing the translation, it's my second time doing the tl for a manga, can you please give me feedback in what you think I'm doing wrong?

Just a fan translating for other fans
If you are ingenuous, it's bad manners to publish scanlations of a manga that is already being reliably translated as it puts unnecessary pressure on the current scanlators. A better approach would be to join their team or practice with something else that does not have a proper active team working on it.

The Guys went on the bird like

« Dude ! A nose ring !? Seriously, at your age !? »

« And did you gain weight ?! Letting yourself go, I see ! »

But seriously, it’s really nice that Mieruko got those guys looking after her : she needs a long over due break from the nightmarish visions !!

People get awful territorial about this when none of the scan groups have any real claim to the series. Sure if they were planning to cover the series long term it would be better to touch base with the current groups but it's harmless. If they were spamming a dozen MTLs I'd feel differently, but if they put in a reasonable amount of effort then I think it's fine. Things happen and multiple groups ensure a series continues getting translated. Coming down hard on someone trying to make a decent translation is bad for everyone. It's always bizarre which uploads get a pass from people and which ones get criticized. Sometimes I feel like people care more about typesetting than actual translation quality considering how many terrible MTLs covered in watermarks get praise.

First of all - the correct answer is the hippo, especially an Italian one protecting his children :chad:

Other than that - Kyousuke's earlier experience with animals should be the model Miko has with spirits, though it won't be as easy. Most spirits, though horrifying looking, are benign, and some of the most monstrous such as Rapehorse (Françios) and the Hunterbro/gyaru on the train/bus are actively good; Miko just needs to get use to them like her bro with the rabbits.

Holy hell i literally finished binging this series like an hour ago and then this showed up thank you for tl

Am i the only one who loves the bodyguard men? They’re shockingly wholesome and human, even the way they fight (berating the monsters) is more realistic than warding stones and talisman. Id hang out with them
You're not alone. I love the guards. They've got depth and character and, most importantly, intelligence and judgement. They aren't just one note existences that do the same thing endlessly like so many of the ghosts.

Also I love that they don't just go straight to annihilation unless ordered to. That chapter where they caught the insect spirit trying to infect people and rather than killing it the one just (apparently) emotionally destroyed it with words... 10/10 no notes.

Love how the men in black are actually really nice and seems pretty human. The chuckle when seeing Miko's family is a really nice touch by the author

I feel they aged down the brother? I remember earlier chapters he was closer to a teenager, like 10 or 11. Now he behaves like a 7 yo. It's weird.
So you're saying teenagers can't like animals that much and act like kids sometimes?
What a sad life that must be :angery:
