Man, where are they going with this story... Will we learn Miko's mom actually has strong spiritual powers that lets her "kill" these things ? Didn't Miko basically destroy one herself before ? (or am I thinking of another series and it's all blending in...)

I DON'T CARE IF THAT THING IS AZATHOTH ITSELF : WE WILL MAKE IT BLEED AND SCREAM FOR WHAT IT DID TO REIDA !!

Also, my eyes are burning with tears already because I can't help but think that François and Dad are going to sacrifice themselves to finish the bastard :angery: the last stand of a loving father and a Best Boy...

Seto’s plan doesn’t seem to expect the ugly old man to be defeated or destroyed. It could’ve been indestructible. Dad and Francoise are not “people” for him, just pawns that can be used to protect the living.

A big problem with his plan though... He plans on locking that thing in Miko’s house.
It’s in the middle of residential area, not in the middle of nowhere like the fox god.
Won’t this just create a Ju-on situation when someone is moving there or accidentally entered?

That thing def has something to do with why the dad is dead. I wouldn't be surprised if Dad died on purpose to erect the barrier. But I would be surprised if the dad is actually not dead, but sealed as the barrier, and that defeating the monster means Dad gets to come back.
There

All this talk of danger, throughout this whole story have the ghosts ever even really affected people in anyway? They just look scary and make miko pee her pants thats the extend of "danger" so far
They talk of fighting a god and the stakes feel abysmally low
Mitsue’s master was literally killed and turned into a ghost slave.

But jokes aside, situations where other people decide important life issues for you at their own discretion, forcing you to then decide the consequences as your own sole responsibility, really suck.
Well then, how about all three of them just walk away and let her deal with that life issue by herself? Remember that they're not related to her whatsoever, yet risking their lives for a stranger with zero reward.
