i find it strange with such agenda, but honestly, even the mom is mostly hyperbolic for comedic effect.
she did what ? have marriage sex with her husband and make him too tired the next day, which the dude are clearly pleased with. oh the horror.
Money ? oldschool wife in many Asian household, they are the one keeping the money in the family, they know to handle money and saving it.

Honestly, it really is that simple. If you spend enough time around someone, you're bound to have SOME level of relationship. That's why it seems so easy to make friends in School compared to when you graduate, consistent proximity.
