If you want to observe them deepen their relationship you should invite everyone in class to a "class outing" to like a theme park or a zoo then intentionally isolate them and have small groups take shifts observing them that the whole class that ships them can watch via a zoom call or something. It's not something I would do but then again I don't really ship IRL people very much and on the few cases I have it was more of a passive "they make/would make a good couple" rather than an active "I hope they get together".
