@Boomburst if it’s revealed to the avatar of nature itself, the fact that the kingdom is still whole should be considered lucky. If they are friends they might react badly on that treatment they gave toward her.
So Ronia is just that much of a sweetheart lol. Yeah, I'd say the Prince messed up.
The kingdom is very lucky she didn't go to that forest and tell her powerful friends all of the terrible things the people of that kingdom have done to her.
in LN Vol 2; the manga is still technically covering Vol 1.
Greitia is
Ronia's senior at the academy, an accomplished magician. Both he and Ronia became good friends over their magic studies. It's implied that Greitia has affections for her, but she only sees him as a friend.
Some worldbuilding on magic contracts and why Orphedolt hates nobles:
Moneyed nobles are the only ones who can afford to study magic at the academy, due to its high costs. Magic studies are part of the academy's curriculum, and part of it involves learning how to make magic contracts with spirits. (A contract allows the student to draw on a spirit's magic/support, in exchange for them helping the spirit back when they ask for it.) Most students don't take the contracting seriously and are quick to cancel it once they pass their subjects. This has created much resentment among the spirits for being taken advantage of by humans. Some magic beasts like Lacrein also hate humans as solidarity with Orphedolt.
Ronia's too sweet and kind to directly ask the spirits for revenge. There's a LN part where Lacrein promises he won't hesitate to hurt her brother if he comes looking for her, and she tells him not to do so (even if she's scared stiff of him).
At this point Schneider is being forced to look for her. News of him breaking the engagement was not well received by those who know the truth, like some royalty. His uncle, the king, ordered that he find Ronia and apologize to her as a sign of honour. Also, Ronia's friends, Hansel and Lexi, have been nagging him to look for Ronia as well.
