My roommates got a shelter cat. Had it for years before I moved in, It didn't make any noises. After moving inI would meow at it every day when I petted and played with it. Basically anytime I saw it, would give it a meow. My roommates went on a trip for a couple weeks and I did cat sitting, after a couple of days of them being gone, one day I'm watching TV and cat comes up to me and meows. Which I give the cat pets and attention.

My friend then asks me after he gets back what the hell I did to his cat, because now he's being woken up 10 minutes before the autofeeder goes off by a cat standing by his bed and meowing at increasing volumes, demanding food.
