Goonbaiting is also a common tactic used by all of them, in fact the once biggest Vtuber in the west, Ironmouse has a podcast called Lewdcast designed from the ground up just to goonbait

And those are not even lewdtubers like Bao/hoejousama, Vexoria, Melodi, Silvervale and Cottontail... whose actual official content includes porn

Also the fact that lots of them turn out to be women that are hotter than their virtual models, means that they get to tripple down on the gooner economy

This gooner economy is no joke either, infamous lewdtuber Sinder, is known for 2 things being a horrible manipulative woman, and being a sexy voluptuous woman, by all means her career should have ended after she wronged everyone she worked and was friends with, how else would she have a place in the industry, who will sponsor her, collaborate with her, etc, etc

But the gooners hooked on her appearance both virtual and physical keep her afloat and in business

As thus fans gooning to vtubers seems to be not just a part of, but a key and fundamental aspect of how vtubers manage their business, and achieve to make a profit

Which is crazy because... how do they manage and control a bunch of gooners? How do they set boundaries? In the comnersalization and exploitation of sexual desire what framework allows them to escape the same pitfalls as the regular adult entertainment industry? What about issues with grooming? Related to that last one ins't making a business model centered solely around the development of parasocial relationships and the creation of emotional dependency extremely risky for both the creators and their audience?
