I was making a joke, but thank you for providing the source, anyway.

The headlights reminded me of the VW Beetle, and then I remembered the old movies. Not an isekai, but the first one, called "The Love Bug," was released in 1968 and there were 5 other movies that followed (and possibly a tv show?); the most recent one releasing in 2005.
