Technically yes because either can handle both. Practically speaking only you and your computer are judging.
That said, while 7zip is free, and a lot of systems come with basic integrated compression and decompression functionality nowadays, WinRAR IS technically superior even if that technical superiority doesn't really matter outside of esoteric compression business. But most importantly, WinRAR has been my companion for many many years and 4 computers despite the 30 day trial expiring, and if it wasn't because I'm dirt poor, crippling debt, and live in a third world country, I would've bought it already.

For the vast majority of users they are functionally identical, so 'just use 7zip' is generically good advice over 99% of the time.

WinRAR is famous for its unlimited "trial period" with just a simple "trick". The user will get a warning that the trial period has ended but you can just close thw warning to "extend" that trial period. It is actually by design since WinRAR's business model is to let the people use and be dependent to WinRAR, and instead charge business and companies for it.

Anyway, the joke is that some people feels a tinge of guilt for repeatedly extending the trial period forever.
