Technically yes because either can handle both. Practically speaking only you and your computer are judging. Is it weird to use 7zip for .zip files and winrar for .rar files?
For the vast majority of users they are functionally identical, so 'just use 7zip' is generically good advice over 99% of the time.Believe it or not but WinRAR has functionality that 7zip doesn't
yeah every once in a blue moon there will be a rar file that 7zip can't open and I have to use winrar forBelieve it or not but WinRAR has functionality that 7zip doesn't
WinRAR is famous for its unlimited "trial period" with just a simple "trick". The user will get a warning that the trial period has ended but you can just close thw warning to "extend" that trial period. It is actually by design since WinRAR's business model is to let the people use and be dependent to WinRAR, and instead charge business and companies for it....
I don't get this at all.
That's cool, thanks for explaining.WinRAR is famous for its unlimited "trial period" with just a simple "trick". The user will get a warning that the trial period has ended but you can just close thw warning to "extend" that trial period. It is actually by design since WinRAR's business model is to let the people use and be dependent to WinRAR, and instead charge business and companies for it.
Anyway, the joke is that some people feels a tinge of guilt for repeatedly extending the trial period forever.
