Absolutely. This guy is a model otaku. He may creep out any normie, but his actions writ large support his pure beliefs. Outwardly he's a creepy otaku, inside is an essence like a magical girl's.

Like CloudyDayOutside said, I think it's really interesting how this chapter contrasts his inner nobility + outward off-puttingness... to the joviality and normalcy of the team and their being traitors.
