theres actually not a lot of sex in this, most women in the “harem” he doesn’t bang and he gets emotionally writer-cucked more than once when a girl he likes is taken away via forced writing (not actual NTR). Doesn’t do it with the yandere either so that ruined it for me as well. A long read for little to no payoff, like most Japanese “romance/harem/etc”

I do not entirely regret reading this, but I also regret it at the same time. First of all, how can a person who researches a novel be a super popular college professor. Maybe Japan has a college system that is so much different that I sound like an idiot, but it still confuses me. Secondly, the MC barely changes at all from start to finish. At the beginning he is a pussy and at the end he is a pussy who can talk to women and has slightly more confidence. The story might actually be a good read if they make a sequel with more romance between the aunt and mc, as well as popping it off with his cousin. (btw I am ok with the incest because I treat aunt as a aunt-in-law and the cousin as a step-cousin. This would make the story much easier to read). The ending feels way to rushed and makes you feel empty when you are done reading it. It gives the same feeling as the ending of Akame Ga Kill or Charlotte, where the mc is basically cucked and you never get to see any serious relationships.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "it's about the destination not the journey"? Well... this is the complete opposite of that. The ending is extremely disappointing, yet everything from start to finish was... really engaging, softcore porn aside. I honestly feel that the author just got sick of this series after 8 years, or that they generally were unable to find a good conclusion to it, resulting in a rushed ending. Nonetheless, this is still a decent read.

I want a sequel where Terumi actually breaks free from his aunt's affection and trying to find a partner for himself.
Thats basically what Kaokuro expects from him by saying that her departure will starts a brand new chapter of his life and the fact that MC chooses to be a genji researcher despite having no interest in it just to be a mega simp for his aunt again kinda further ruins this mediocre conclusion for me tbh.
