Seriously the implications for their world are pretty terrifying the more you think about it.

Someone was sadistic enough to make a dating sim world with actual sentient AI, and then imprisoned them to an eternal hell of an existence, bound by the laws of dating sim cliches, while still fully aware they are in a dating sim.

These are real people's mind's uploaded to a dating sim cyber hell.

I told it before, but this world is an existential nightmare the moment you scratch past the surface. And I still double guessing if it isn't intentionally a critique to strict societal roles and how the suffocate people's minds. Having to be boxed up and just take it isn't something unique to this world after all and specially common in places with low social mobility or strict gender roles

That's what I questioned some chapters ago, are they born with the roles or were they suddenly aware of the fact that they have been part of a Dating sim and now unable to make any choices anymore? it's exactly because of this scenario the last few chapters have been so completive, the heroines are aware that there is one boy who will make some advancement on them and they have to play the characters, the rival character is very well aware that he will never be the main character and he will keep being a character who is supposed to chase and compete against a predetermined "Main Character" who was just born with the role, the characters in this manga are just tormented souls who have given up on their own freedom for "The good ending" or what we would call "acceptance" in real life, but the MC, Hareta refuses to give up, struggling against the acceptance which is supposed to receive in the end .This manga is more than just "Haha, femboy falls in love with a guy", This is very much about "Struggling to break free the assigned roles and changing predetermined fate set by others".
