It's all Misato's fault. She's either as dense as Konishikawa and didn't realize it or she's just another dumbass who won't commit the Japanese sin of opening her mouth and saying something DIRECT. From this last page it would seem it is the former. I hope these other ladies slam this right into her face and open her eyes.

At this point I will probably just hold on this until they catch with the raws and a little more, like I said in the last chapter all this unnecessary drama to make absolute no progress and just do some ntr-bait is cheap, also this character is starting to get annoying to ultimately be rejected like we all know it will happen, FMC is allergic to say something direct and the author is making the MC more dense each chapter and now to be less and less as a front character because he don't know how to develop this.

Hopefully she makes everything clear to them and to him.

Just checked the raws and it's basically what you said, but he also appears to be now a recurrent character that makes snarky comments and is jealous of her, which makes him even more annoying in the last chapter (31).

He makes snarky remarks because homegirl is asking him to drop hints about what he learned about Konishikawa in their 'bonding through drinking' with him, and also asking him to set up Konishikawa and her when Konishikawa really doesn't feel like going out one-on-one with her because she rejected Shimizu. So he has to lie to him saying the three of them will go out only to cancel last second to set up a 'date' between Misato and Konishikawa. All of this while Misato fully knows that asking this hurts him bcs rejection was very recent. So I really don't think you can blame Shimizu for being moody in the recent chapters.

Yeah, I'm not even really blaming him, I'm blaming the author. The character is really out of place, at least for me, and at the end of it all he had basically zero need to be a character at all aside to stir up some drama and do this light ntr-bait, almost 10 chapters just to do zero development of the MC/FMC just to probably set this character up with another new female character down the road that will be into Konishikawa I bet.

I think that people are just reading better romance mangas nowadays and getting tired of the poorly written, just look at the change in most new romance manga where the development happens somewhat at a good pace and the author gives time to develop more of the world, characters and the story around the MC/FMC, like Hanninmae no Koibito for example. And most people here problably went for this manga for the light-hearted comedy/romance/slice of life, which are the official tags for this, so stiring up drama on it is probably not the cup of tea for most.
