Plez make a Ch 0 for the prequels
Putting 2 entire textless stories as Chapter 0s to get around MD's ‘No textless serieses’ rule is an intresting idea. I think the fact that they're ongoing makes this harder tho. And how would you even number them? Maybe 0.1 and 0.2 (with no volume distinctions)? I wonder if that would be allowed.
Okay nevermind. There's absolutely nothing else on mangadex atm. I'll keep my eyes peeled though, somebody definitely needs to pick the rest of these up
There is an MD page for the TWINTALE series.

The combination of hyphen and dashes in that sentence made me read it twice.

And I didn't realize this manga was part of a timeline when I picked it up. The artist really likes their OC
It’d probably be better to use a colon aster women and a period after practical.

There's a lot to unpack here...

As stated in my 1st chapter comment, I picked this up just because FMC is Jirai-kei. Now you're telling me there's MCU-style series of back story I should be catching up before this one?!

And it's canonically confirmed she isn't delusional, but it's MC who's amnesic and couldn't remember FMC?

Well, I'm a sucker for continuation of story, so this is even better.

On the other note:

I, too, was confused for a hot minute there.
I'm not normally very nitpicky about punctuation use, but maybe you should put in spacebar before and after those em dash if it wasn't very distinct from normal hyphen there? (is it em dash though, btw? kinda too short for em dash and more like en dash there)

same, the em-dashes are not big or distinguished enough
ah crap sorry about that boys, I should've read through it once more, bit of a mistake on my part there. I've reworded it and fixed the spacing of things. hopefully, its better now

I think it was fine in terms of how you worded it, it's just the em-dashes that needed a bit of spacing and I forgot to mention it when I read through it

Are you kidding me? So it's not just this and there are other manga to look at?
you know, the craziest part is that on top of being in the like, 5th story: the author still wants at least 3 more gap stories. Twintale Cinematic Universe, lets go :meguupog:

also

Think of this story as being a different world that branched off from the previous Yandere series at a point in time when the characters were elementary students

:worry:

Finally we got official lore confirmations within the series itself. As someone who's been following their twitter for quite a while, it's been equal times funny and frustrating seeing people in the comments try to guess if she has any ulterior motives or something when the entire point of her character is that she's one of the sweetest humans alive.

Ngl tho, I did NOT know that Twintale had THAT many parts, I only knew about 1 and 0, so that's a surprise even for me.

it's totally true and there's something seriously wrong with him if he's forgotten everything about her for no explained reason.
This happened to me and a childhood friend. In my experience, I didn't see it as something wrong. We grew up, split apart, and our appearance changed (theirs more than mine). It didn't help that the time we knew each other was so short. But I still felt bad, cause everybody else remembered. Maybe something is wrong with me.

i did remember someone mentioning that the artist's earlier pixiv entry were yanderes but this still slightly raised my eyebrows

The thing that caught my eye the most about this is that it is telling us that the Junior High and High School stories are not part of this timeline. Perhaps the same or similar things happened but we (edit: ) can't count on that and the mangaka can change it wholesale if desired.

The author or the translator does not understand what the word Protagonist means.
It's quite common for the mc self insert to be called 主人公(protagonist) in these types of situations, despite the main moving force being the girl instead. I think it makes sense if you're willing to self insert, but some readers might only take a third person view of it, so it's a bit awkward if it's like that.

If you've listened to any Japanese ASMR you'd know that the girls always refer to you by skirting around the fact that you're a nameless self insert through pronouns, titles, or just adding -kun to whoever you are in relation to them, such as (幼馴染くん)childhood friend-kun

Wait, so this canonizes the fact that she was childhood friends with our nameless protagonist?

That changes everything because now it's not "maybe it's true or maybe she's batshit crazy". It's "it's totally true and there's something seriously wrong with him if he's forgotten everything about her for no explained reason."

And honestly I'm not 100% sure the latter is a super-interesting concept that can sustain a series.
yeah, with the reveal (tho I guess it was "revealed" before this even started) that they definitely were indeed childhood friends, this is actually less interesting to me.

(also the first series doesn't sound like something I want to read either)
