I do wonder what sort of power structure Mitsuba will have under her. I don't think she is opposed to a republic, even if it looks like it is going to be some kind of military dictatorship. I can't imagine she would want to bother being involved in more mundane lawmaking. So she could accept a republic under her to run other aspects of the nation while she focuses on, the finer things in life.

Sadly, you didn't prepare anything against this scenario Sandra. Maybe killing Mitsuba could have prevented this mess you got in but that's only delaying the inevitable. Mitsuba says to go grab the king and head to the palace in the last few panels, so she's probably trying to use him as a puppet to cement her legitimacy.
