I totally get the frustration with the weak male lead in manga. I don't think rejecting fake Miyu's advances is necessarily the problem; it's how he does it.

If he approached it from a position of strength and based it off of the fact that she's crazy (and manipulative), then it would make more sense. But he instead spouts some BS about how she cares about the real Miyu, not him. The real Miyu isn't around, so why does that matter?

This archetype of men taking the "higher ground" and doing what is "best" for the woman is so overdone and contrived at this point. Most guys, if they weren't thinking about how they would be opening themselves up to problems, would smash.

Not to mention his flustered reactions where he freaks out when she gets undressed. It makes sense for a character to be surprised but his played up reaction is another common trait of his character archetype.

I wish more stories would feature men that think and act like men - particularly the impulsivity involved in these kind of contexts.
