I'm partial to a cheese pizza with pineapple juices on it, but I don't really like pineapple itself so I only get it when I have the energy to pick off the fruit.
I missed this back in the day, so will address that now- it's because in the constant push to shave off volumes to lower costs, they literally shaved the pineapple chunks too small. They used to be big, meaty wedges with flat tips because of how fat of a wedge they were. Nowadays you're lucky if it just comes to a sharp tip instead of trailing off into thin wisps.
