that surprised me I THOUGHT that she was in middle school or younger I guess I wasn't paying attention. I was a bit upset as well BUT that was because I thought the girl was a lot younger than a senior in high school. It's still unethical for a teacher to date a student but NOW I'm not bothered by the age. 😊

It wasn't just her height alone. We saw a bunch of girls from her class swarming that teacher in chapter 2. When the draw of your manhua is a world where monster women are all bodacious as sin and stacked to the rafters, you can't fault readers for assuming that an entire class where every girl is waist-high to a grown man and sporting A-B cups is a bunch of young children. These girls must all hit puberty in a single night on the last day of school or something.

It's cool because despite appearing to be in middle school this whole time, they suddenly ret-conned it so she isn't- that makes everything fine, right? No. It doesn't.

Even so, fine let's brush that off, and talk about how dating someone way outside of your age bracket is creepy. It's taking advantage of their naivety, what they know about the world and life (likely very little), and ignoring the fact that when HE was likely in high school she was only like 5-6 years old. Heck, let's say she IS 16. He has to be at least, what, 25, 26 probably? 24 if you want to be really generous, maybe 30's if you're not (and she might not have even been alive then while he was in first year). We'll just settle with 10 year gap when he was still in high school. Would you date someone who's a five year old while you're 15? I sure hope not.

At best this story was him grooming her till she reaches an acceptable age for their relationship, at worst it's just plain pedophilia. Either way, it's creepy and I don't know why you'd try to defend it!

Then you put him in a position of direct authority over her life... take her obsessive possessive personality and callousness, get that mess added on top of everything... it's all just so... ugh. I'm sorry if you liked it and was able to look past all that, but I find it kind of upsetting and reprehensible from several objective standpoints.

Huh... People thought she was in middle school? The very first thing written is "Municipal School For Non-Human Senior High Department Staffroom". Senior High sounds like high school to me, so I asummed she was 15+. Not that, that makes it any better.

My main problem was it just wasn't what I read and enjoy about Modern MoGal.

I've read other "high school student pursues their teacher romantically" (or even just "high schooler falls in love with older person") manga before but this one felt really... off, for some reason. I think it's because in other ones I've read (such as Sensei wa Koi o Oshie Rarenai) the age gap doesn't look quite so... pronounced. I also think the story would've been cuter if it was an unrequited thing and it was more from the oni's perspective as she crushed over her teacher and had to restrain herself from cursing people or just doing bad things because of love.
