One of the few times I'm glad I can just read this in Japanese instead. TL notes, simple spelling mistakes, not even translating the Japanese text in the background for those that can't read it, etc.
3.2.7: All content that isn't strictly part of the original scanlated chapter is considered "extraneous". Examples of this include credits pages, recruitment notices, discussion, fan-colored chapter pages, and other fan art. Extraneous content is generally allowed, but must be placed either at the beginning or the end of the release.
That rule mainly has to do with extra pages of content being added, so people don't inseet ads/memes/etc between the pages of a chapter, or if it's openly offensive content.y'all, just send a report and move on. The relevant rule being broken is:
good ideaMan, if you guys are so pissed about the translator adding in notes, why don’t one of you guys translate it yourself instead? Either put in the effort they’re putting in for us, get used to it, or just stop reading, because until then you’re all just literally whining about someone working for you for free.
Yeah, like I said in the next chapter, you’re pretty much the only one out of the lot who I can actually respect, because you actually did something instead of just complaining about it. Thank you again for all your hard work.good idea
People can make value judgements based on things other than monetary value.Man, if you guys are so pissed about the translator adding in notes, why don’t one of you guys translate it yourself instead? TL is just a chill guy who likes to enjoy and share his humour with his readersIs it just me or are there more TL notes than last time...
(Please no more...)
This is true, and I don’t entirely disagree. I’ll admit, I could’ve worded it better in that comment, because the way I said it then caught a lot of the people attempting to offer genuine, constructive feedback as well.People can make value judgements based on things other than monetary value.
People in a community of shared interest will usually give feedback with the intent of wanting mutually beneficial improvement. Granted giving constructive feedback is hard and most people suck at this, but the good intent is still there.
One does not need to be a creator in order to be a critic. These are in fact two separate skillsets.
These are not difficult concepts to understand about how people operate.
