well he probably has great-man-ism brainworms, unlike you or I. A lot of people do after all, it's drilled into the heads of many kids in high school and only select majors in most unis specifically try to fix that.I feel like Len should have taken things more seriously. He knows the game story, after all, yet he doesn't seem to possess any sense of urgency or real desire to get strong as quickly as possible. By now he should have been sneaking out to fight some lesser monsters to get far more experience than the practice matches give him, but instead he's being a good little boy and doing nothing of the sort, instead believing in his ability to keep living in that village forever. Well, how exactly was his character then a major villain in the game, huh? If he stopped to think for a while, from hoeing the field so dutifully, he would realise something pushed the original Len Ashton to do it. It probably wasn't simply getting bored of tilling the land.
To be honest, I'm disappointed by the MC. It would be a different thing if he didn't know the story. Like if he just got isekaied into any random fantasy world, with no idea of the state of the world or what's going to happen. Then it might make sense he'd take it easy and be in no hurry to get strong.
One of the first things he did as a baby was using his sword skill to slowly increase his magic power. He also dedicated himself to reading books to understand the world he was in.I feel like Len should have taken things more seriously.
