Usually these people are worried about events transpiring in such a way that if he wants to live, or whatever, he has no choice but to stab herWeird how hes so fixated on the events of the game and not on his own freewill, is his skill going to stab her out of some weird universal deterministic law? Or can he just.. not stab her.
nah the plot armor will transform into plot weapon and he'll be controlled out of his own will by the author to stab herWeird how hes so fixated on the events of the game and not on his own freewill, is his skill going to stab her out of some weird universal deterministic law? well there could be several things forcing him to do it later which he is not aware of, he doesn't know how the events transpire or what could happenIts a weird trope that's for sure, how they keep avoiding something which is literally entirely avoidable by simply not doing it ô_o Unless he'd be possessed by some ghost and lose his free will in which it wouldn't matter either way, but in those kinds of stories I often hope they break away from that early otherwise story gets rather annoying to read real fast x_x
Her "just because" is because she absolutely trounces everyone except him that she fights, so the outcome is unexpected for her. She's used to winning handily and when she doesn't it's confusing, which is understandable.Kind of annoys me that she expects to beat someone else in a fight, simply 'just because'. Yeah she's trained, but so has he; yeah she has a unique magic and circumstance, but so has he.
And yes, before anyone says 'she's just a child', these characters hardly ever act like children, so shush.
Yep. Givens is sus, especially with the offer to put him in the special class. Trying to get some kind of hold over him, and the response the knight had to the refusal is extra sus.well there could be several things forcing him to do it later which he is not aware of, he doesn't know how the events transpire or what could happen
cutting ties early on and evading the story completely is the safest choice in such a scenario since they might blackmail him or hold his family hostage later on, they might even use brainwashing/slavery magic on him
which would be ironic if that refusal then leads to the events he desperately avoid.Yep. Givens is sus, especially with the offer to put him in the special class. Trying to get some kind of hold over him, and the response the knight had to the refusal is extra sus.
That's reaching too far. Holding the family hostage is definitely a noble move, but brainwashing would definitely be too advanced for these people. Also, with what manhuas taught me, you can't just change the story and then forget about the ways you've changed it, otherwise you'll only end up confusedwell there could be several things forcing him to do it later which he is not aware of, he doesn't know how the events transpire or what could happen

Or he was framed, and couldn't admit it without ruining his lover's reputation.Self fulfilling prophecy YEAH! Gonna bet that in the game they were lovers and the mastermind has to kill her for plot reasons and it’s most likely for “the greater good.” Which our mc will be following
