Reading this comment section is twice far more enjoyable than the actual manga chapter itself.
I think the war and battle has been lost on this front. For me this series is one of the first ones I went to AGS's site to read back before they split into a million splinter groups. Most of the MTL or paywall groups will pick up a shitload of series and there are very few people stubborn enough to stick to translating with competition, especially because most readers only care for speed. It was discussed ages ago as well: tolerating donation-based scanlation and any other financial incentives leads to sloppification, where crap get's pushed out the door as efficiently as possible with no regard for anything that used to be the core of the hobby. Yet even today so many people are willing to die on that hill, defending it...
I read a few pages but I would recommend finding someone, even in this thread to help with quality assurance and maybe even typesetting. Thanks for the translation anyhow and I look forward to your work improving.Hey, translator here. This is my first translation, so the next ones should be better.
While it's true many will accept crap, there's still a pain threshold, usually when it starts being unintelligable. It's not like we're lacking in such examples either, then the comment section is in an uproar and everyone laments how we got to this point...I think the war and battle has been lost on this front. Like even on the most blatant MTL chapters of some series can still get discussion and accepted over time because for the majority of readers anything will do. In spite of that this site has higher standards than the vast majority of readers online.
Also also the way MTL for manhwa is accepted and monetised has corroded manga translations a fair bit, coin systems were completely alien until quite recently. They've become a standard expectation at this point for manhwa.

Hm. My tracking on MAL shows id only gotten up to 31 or soAsmodeus who are banned here are up to 41 and inkvora who I think also got banned or might've never actually lasted past a few days are on 42.
I'd highly recommend picking some different fonts.
Part of the problem with manhwa is that Korea has been so heavy handed going after groups only the most resilient or lowest investment groups have tended to stick around. The more mainstream the series they tend to cover the more the effort naver and the boys have put into squashing them. Mangadex only got involved in one of the purges but for individual sites there have been countless waves of shut downs at this point. Quite a few decent quality, no paywall groups got nuked. As for your point about manhwa, I suddenly feel blessed that I don't read any and therefore have no idea about what you're describing. Long may it be so.
Like they might mistranslate names, abilities or most noticeably messing up he and she, that's probably the most prominent red flag. The fact they all come out the gate with a kofi, patreon and donation link and their own site with the next 6 chapters behind a paywall and a preview page that spoils something a volume ahead.
Hustle culture has ruined a lot of avenues. It's become clear for a while that probably 90%+ of the new "groups" are AI/MTL translations which generally I've not had a problem with. MTL with QA has been a thing in scanalating from forever ago, when they're signposted as such beforehand.
The newer "groups" will have credits but generally don't have specific names for anyone, so most people would think they're actually a group same as you'd be used to but it's clearly MTL. It's a bit sad that something that was so fueled by passion like scanalation has become so clearly a racket for some. On the other side official channels can be behind or for quite a few series not exist at all, which is most of the trashy series I read and honestly a lot that aren't.
