One thing in this kind of settings seems very irrational to me. Why is it normal for human to hurt/hunt other humans, but for non-human or demihuman to assault another - even if they are not of the same kind, like different type of ayakashi for example - it gets condemned? I mean humans are dumb enough to put emphasis things like "animals eat other animals" referring to predatory habits and humans conceited enough to deem themselves exceptions from any relations in nature, but still wierd.
Also speciesm based on "your kind killed my family" is funny. Did you know how many of my ancestors were killed by humans? I hate humanity XD
