I was kind of hoping that it was gonna end up "Ms Smith" was Arbatel, so that all the over-the-top acting she did in there living her school life that's believably a Ms Smith thing to do was actually just Arbatel living its dream. You could make the case that the "tells" were the photos she took being kind of like pages (similar to the library girl being a bookworm), or even a more physical incomplete-form tell like her having no eyes (but the fact being hidden by the sunglasses she wears).

Thanks for the chapter!
Is it just me or does it feel like this manga has gone on for too long? Doesn't really help that there are somewhat lengthy gaps between chapter releases.
Also, I just had a reality check and this manga has been going since 2012, what the fuck dude? 11 years

I honestly agree with Arbatel. Kimihito's unwillingness to fully commit to one monster-girl is getting kinda old. He should go on and get some of that snek-snootch and wrap this up. This series seems to be a low priority to the author (understandably). He should finish it up soon rather than let it languish.

He's not commiting because as soon as he does all the girls all get shipped to new hosts because he broke the "no relationships between hosts/hostee" rule of the Extraspecies Law.

But smith told him to be a trial case and get married to one of the girls.
Was he a special trial case, or just a 'marry a monster girl' trial case?
Because, wasn't the hot springs caretaker, the Yuki Onna, married?

According to a bonus comic, Yukio is engaged to the son of the onsen proprietor family, but not married yet. I would like to see this comic, though.

I'm pretty sure that was her being flippant and not an official request. More like "IDGAF, go ahead and do it and we'll deal with the consequences later".

you know that rule makes no sense when in previous chapters they were all setting up couples.
They were translated as "couples" but they still can't do anything under the law. Even during that big trade show/convention chapter, it was only for the purpose of finding host "families" for the visiting extra species.

In this arc they hook up (no banging), the human applies as a host for their waifu, and when the law is changed to make it ok the breeding begins.

No, if memory serves, they're trying to push for less-strict laws, and with Kimihito being the defacto "test bed", he's allowed to marry one as proof of "Hey, this will work" and so they can loosen the laws across the board and allow people to marry monster girls, integrating them with humans more.

Of course, first he'd have to pick one, but.

Also iirc, chapter releases are fairly slow due to Okayado's relatively poor health.
