I know couples who figured out they met in passing years before they thought they met, or were in the same place at the same time on a field trip as kids, but didn’t meet until they were adults, stuff like that. It happens enough in real life that I’ll forgive it as a romcom trope

Other than going outta ur way to meet someone without any connections to you, some smaller cities it's pretty common for ppl to know each other even with mutual acquaintances
