In the novel, i read this scene with 19956 being way more in control of whats going on, until Prince Boyfriend arrives to save the day. Rather then Serena being completely panicking and out of form.

The monster thing does feel like shoehorned into the story for a climax scene.
The rest of the story never even mention their world having magic or monster.
alas, it’s mostly contained in the noble society only, so there’s not much world building outside that.

While I'm not one to disparage one for their fetishes, I do think this is a case where maybe some introspection about your motivations is warranted. Such interests should be pursued with caution.

I mean you can look at it that way but I interpreted it as

She is fearless, She is actually Noble, And she is one that will solve her own problems.

The prince can also just be a weirdo but I personally want it to be more than just a “ohh that’s hot” sort of thing.
