Saw commentary before about how instinctively they know youth is more significant for female than male, so they realize they need to grow up mentally, and understand their strength and role much earlier than the boys. As result, they have a much more clear target because they need to decide on their strategy before their time runs out; compared to most male protagonist who are typically still in doubt about what they could do, and what they want to do (the usual "I'm just a nobody" mentality).
That, and the sense of being "weaker" made them more interested in other people because the value of having friends in survival is more apparent than boys who typically think "I'm a man, I have to be able to do this myself" (yet ends up being a loner in his escapism).

That adopted daughter sure doesn’t have plans to take over the ducal house. How did she and her dog even get in there, a ducal house should have a little better security.
Not that the mc cares about that, she enjoys being more practical after all.

And look at how she was able to be "adopted" and made everyone fawn over her right away... definitely not that she tries to unleash the dog for it to get killed then made the house apologize and give compensation. If anything, that dog and the girl is too "sickly" to not be living in a "struggling to live" situation.

Such a scatterbrained story already in the very first chapter. I can't help but question the author's talent in writing. Checking her other works, I spot "I'm Not a Villainess!! Just Because I Can Control Darkness, Doesn't Mean I'm a Villain". That's a story that lost control of itself soon enough, as if it the author couldn't keep it flowing smoothly after a while. It's also famous for the "dark skin = suspicious, light skin = benevolent" thing. So, I'm not super surprised by the ducal household being all brainless and some dude trying to recruit a clearly underage duke's daughter to work under him. This particular author just doesn't possess a single thread of logic in her mind.

I like to imagine in the distant future otome games have all but disappeared but the villainess mangas haven't and "otome game heroines" have been reclassified as some sort of changeling monster that replaces the kind hearted.
