I do like the fact that she couldn't just solo the monsters herself. She is an assassin, her speciality is dealing with humans. It makes for an interesting rock, paper scissors match, where she could beat human knights, human knights beat monsters and the monster could beat her.
It is rather refreshing, when in most manga which have a linear power system, where someone strong could face unexpected/different enemies with no repercussions for their unpreparedness in dealing with them.

Aside from her childhood days, this feels like Serena's second of two outfits. This is basically what she wears when she first rescues Tigur, except she's filling out the dress more. Compare young Serena in ch4.1p1 with current Serena ch19.1p13.

So yay for aging her body appropriately, but boo for the lack of variety in clothing.

It's been "subtly" hinted at that she doesn't feel/recognize her emotions. Even now she doesn't realize what it is she's feeling and thinks it is irritation. Also the only times she has outwardly shown actual emotions were with Tigur and the prince.
Tbh in the novel it is a bit better done, but well you can't cram pages of what characters are thinking in a drawn medium.

Serena has been developing emotions over the course of her new life. Right now, she feels irritation more like actual hatred towards the royal concubine which stems from this budding love for Evan. However, she doesn’t understand what love actually feels like cause she never experienced that emotion in her past life.

Tigur basically realizes this and smoothly convinces Serena that her love is actually a different thing. He convinces her that what she feels is more in line with a favorite possession. This ends up Serena misunderstanding and thinking that Evan is her favorite personal toy. This pretty much results in her irritation right now where she’s gonna snap the royal concubine’s neck.

Also Evan finds out and basically is annoyed about it. Mainly cause he too realized she felt something for him. But now is stuck as the favorite toy instead of love interest. As of Volume 2, he has not been able to romance Serena. The king and queen know about Evan and Serena and are pretty much bashing him for being unable to romance her. He’s had less interactions with her in that volume and the plot required them to focus on a certain task.

No worries, no cop out.

Serena basically crushes and snaps the royal concubine’s neck. Leaving her with this terrified look as if she saw some unspeakable horror as she died. The King sends out knights to arrest the royal concubine but find her corpse and basically labels her a sinner and she’s buried in some unnamed grave in the general cemetery rather than the royal cemetery.

Serena gets dragged into dealing with exchange students with a rather complicated issue. One of them is a Prince while the other two are technically his half-siblings but they are not recognized as royalty because of the King’s decision. These half-siblings are stupid and think they are royalty by blood bullies their half-brother who is the only one in line for the throne.

What Serena and Evan are tasked with is basically setting up a situation where the two half-siblings basically cause an issue and send them back to their home country. And then the home country basically handles the rest.

Serena ends up training the Prince in actual fighting and not knight combat so he can defend himself. Serena gets a gun and a magic ring that silences the noise it causes so she can handle herself at range. Also guns only just developed in this series so most people don’t know about it.

The whole volume pretty much ends with the prince growing a spine and pretty much kills his half-brother but cutting off his head personally. The half-sister causes an issue where she is sent back, she learns that her brother who was the only one who loved her like family is dead. She pretty much almost goes insane, however Rick and Serena think she’s best for a certain line of work, the honey trap assassin. She does get sent back to her home country, where she kills her parents, and disappears to work as a honey trap assassin. The parents had been arrested earlier for attempting to kill the prince and other stuff like embezzlement and other serious crimes. They didn’t even love their children, only wanted to use them as tools to somehow get the throne again. This is why the half-sister kinda snaps when she finally realizes this and kills her parents. The reason why she becomes a honey trap assassin is because she got the looks and can seduce most men rather easily. She only failed cause high ranked noble kids had fiancés and were wary of her before.

Meanwhile the prince gives Serena an item that was originally for the prince’s true love. However he doesn’t feel that way towards her. Though everyone including Evan think he does and Evan in particular is shocked about it. Evan gets bashed by the king and queen for failing to step up in his attempts to romance Serena. Serena receives it but Tigur basically puts it away into a drawer where it’ll probably get forgotten.

Enjoying killing doesn't make a character yandere. Yandere is a specific exaggeration of the Yamato Nadeshiko archetype, and it is supposed to revolve around a love interest. Serena is Yangire, prone to outbursts of violence.
