In a world where anybody can become what is essentially a publicly-funded glorified mercenary, death is (presumably) common.

An adventurer that gets crippled, comaed, or otherwise put out of commission is more or less the same as a dead person: they can't keep fighting.

Hence, the emphasis on semi-immortals' regeneration.

Kinda just... weird how they jump from gore and massacre back to wholesome daughters, and ignoring the dead adventurers, etc.

So it wasn't exactly a gender swapped Goblin Slayer scenario. The real cause of their deaths weren't goblins, but the dragon.

Is she not worried that goblins snuck into her house and stole her most valuable things. They couldve easily murdered her kids.

That subplot with the rookie team is pointless. It doesn't bring anything to the story, we already know the MC's more powerfull than E rank adventurers, and she doesn't even save them, nor did she go there to. The whole part with the low rankers could be removed, and nothing'd be lost. She still would have gone looking for her daughters' stolen gift, killed the dragons and shown how strong she is, without inflicting on us the whiplash of a wannabe-goblin-slayer scene totally out of place.

Feels like a "paint by number" scene, only there because others do it without understanding why they do it.

things got dark uh, never run after a monster in the dark... such a simple rule, this is why rookies shoudn't enter a dark cave
