unfortunately the author lost the narrative with this series and has been working on other stuff.
Theyre still writing but unfortunately this hasnt seen a word for about 3 years and i get why, book 1 isnt actually "good" since Sofie and Tio are props rather then characters, and despite the story being actually really good with actually having Sofie, Tio, and Shirley all having personalities and conflicts while being cuddly, but it requires getting to book 2.

Which is a shame, especially since the garbage that is Adventuring through another world while raising children got adapted and everyone is at best Toast in that.

Iirc this Kyle boy is the closest we have to a male hero for Shirley contrasting her baby-daddy who's the antagonist.

The twins are very protective of their mom against Kyle later in the story cuz they notice how nice she is to him and how much he cares about her. Course it's one-sided on Kyle's part.

damn, is a shame that a series with a decent premise goes out like that

those two are not the only Adventurer + Munchkin stories but Single Mother Adventurer here is the best one from what ive been able to dig up on Novelupdates. most of them have the munchkin being the protagonist though. that Isekai where the MC is the Elven Half-Princess and shes around 5 is techncially the same batch of stories.
