As of right now only catgirl wants to marry him. The other girl earlier that he fought alongside doesn't seem to be romantically interested, just grateful. He might come across more female party members, but I do hope it's just one girl to avoid complicating the story with harem (which the story is not tagged for). Catgirl seems like a trouble magnet and an idiot but she can work on that.

So, I reckon it's possible Rachael's master indeed is evil and sacrifices Rachael for power, such as to acquire a spell book. That might push Rydia to hate all humans sufficiently to start the war.
