they were there for a long time i dont remember if it was more than 6 months or a year or something but they were in the village for a long ass time and they gradually fell for each other plus the heroes friend killing all the villagers probably made elisha more skeptical of the hero which pushed her closer to lobelia who had already saved her life once before, plus lobelia is coming to terms with the fact that hes his own guy and not just the bad guy so he becomes more bold in pursuing her and they both just fall in love

actually not by her or the villagers luckily, and the hero definitely gets some comeuppance later on as well essentially because lobelia becomes a "good guy" the heroes sword can no longer damage him which crushes the heroes spirit, then the hero realizes that he actually got cucked by lobelia elisha loves him instead of the hero, thats around where i stopped reading

I wholeheartedly concur; this narrative, despite my having perused and observed numerous tales, possesses a most singular quality. If I may be so bold. I appreciate the nuanced trauma that informs our villain's peculiar behavior. Conversely, the hero exhibits an unseemly perspective on 'justice' that I find less than delightful.

The more I read, the more it feels like another "MC is better cause he's the good guy that do no wrong, game hero is actually scumbag who never be shown that way" and it disappointed me

I feel like the fact the MC used to be a fan of the source material, and with the series being based around Gacha game(aka have some in-depth look on MC's motivation and his dialogue choice) he could've try to befriend the MC

Especially since it seems like a PriConne/CC/FGO-expy, where the MC of that game always have the villain become playable/gacha-able later on

well its more like he has two personalities and when he goes under massive stress the original villain comes out of him, right now hes almost 100% the dude who got isekaied but later he almost dies and that brings out evil lobelia who starts going on a rampage
