Lower left is worse, cause you have the liver. But even then, it just seemed like a bite. He was not cut off in two. Death ina minute or two, sure, instant death no.

If the author wanted the instant death shock, it should have been a bite to the throat.

Someone said in a previous chapter that she's super pampered and protected by the "hero" group, it might the first time she's had to face reality.

Elisha being detached from the supposed hero-party made her literally grow out of her just having a mage role.
She technically is now 'mutating' into a different type of character now that she is not just existing as a passive support for the hero.

If I remember correctly, she's actually an amnestic that was awaken from many years from stasis so she does have hidden abilities.

Cyanide is the fastest acting poison we know of and it takes 2-5 minutes to work. It is not instant. There is no such thing as an instant killing toxin.

Also I want to point out that no poison is ever mentioned nor implied. There's no point in assuming that it's a toxic creature when there's no evidence to it.

You are doing the author's job for them. In the story itself there's nothing to suggest that.

Also I want to point out that no poison is ever mentioned nor implied. There's no point in assuming that it's a toxic creature when there's no evidence to it.

While poison technically doesn't kill that fast out of the known poisons, there are plenty that have effects that will have effects as instant as this scene and some of these leave the victim in a state that might as well be counted dead... And that's in small doses.
With an animal of that size and the fact that it's an otherworld, it's completely plausible to have instant death by poison even without bringing magic and superpowers into the mix.
