Writing aside, having the chapter combined makes for a proper reading than whatever chapter drip they're doing. I hate it when publishers chop up a chapter and destroy any sense of momentum.

Orphaned kids are dumb and has this feeling of rejection inside to be honest. This is why they need greatest care.

I noticed also when I fed 4-week old kittens whose mother was crushed by our neighbor. I regret not adopting them, they look weak, scrawny and perpetually scared. Very hungry, they fed the sardines I gave them. They died in two or three days due to abandonment and cruelty of kids and the same people who crushed the mother.

Except when the guild called in replacement buffing mages, she flat out said even after studying magic all her life, you can't change buff duration.

So unless his 'ridiculous potential' could replicate his Extension (that, again, literally nobody else have been able to) then him keeping his potential would NOT allow for the scenario you suggested.

Also keep in mind those early chapters were done when he was 'only' at level 2.

Don't forget that there is a limit to what a sorcerer can do without a contract with a Hollow, as explained on page 27. Only with a contract can a sorcerer use it's full power.

It's like he speed leveled to lvl 30, but it will be impossible for him to go beyond that. So he decided to pay a big price and go back to lvl 1, but for that he got a talent of a lvl ??? boss.

And in Ch 18.3 he said he reached "Stage 3", so it does seem he's able to improve his magic again.

This is glossing over the fact that he offered up all of his potential without actually knowing what the benefit was going to be. That he got extension magic was something he learned shortly afterwards.

And there's expectation to get something of equivalent value to the price he paid, even the demon there was wondering what kind of powerful being would show up for this 'largest price'

Which given what we've seen, is proving to be pretty damn powerful and will likely get even more so as he and his hollow get stronger.
