Maybe a bit bias but I know a couple of Japanese gamer guys that studied English like hell in high school to be able to play foreign games from overseas that didn’t have a Japanese translation.

Had the additional benefit of making them “sugoi” at karaoke when singing English songs, and allowed them to move to the west easily. So not disimilar to how some of us go about learning Japanese.

Basically sensei, some of us guys really want to learn about conjugation, dammit!
