also, she suggested the hotel. I get she's not exactly in a great mood, but she's just gaslighting MC at this point. But MC is still 17/18 and lives with his parents. So "hey come crash at my place" wouldn't be the first thing that comes to mind. my not even have the room to.

well he did say himself he didn't know how to respond. He's spending all the time trying to figure out what she wants instead of what should be done. (and tbh, I don't even think she knows what she wants).

IDK about Japan but I culturally have an aversion to calling the police. It usually just causes more trouble. Non-zero chance I end up getting arrested even though I had nothing to do with it.
